Good question, Diego. I think Twitter is trying to discourage this approach in favour of the Tweet Button, so they might have buried the documentation for it. I’ve only included it above as a type of fallback plan for situations where a Tweet Button won’t work, like when a text link is needed, so hopefully they don’t completely drop it.

That’s a great way to do things – I definitely maintain some local cheat sheets. However, I like having reminders online as well in case I’m not working on my own system.

Were did you get that twitter uses a “status” variable? I’m sure it’s in the documentation somewhere, but I can’t find it and have no idea where should I be looking
